You're responsible for your account

Keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity under your account.

Use the service appropriately

Don't use Secured AI for illegal purposes, to process data you don't have rights to, or to attempt to circumvent our security measures.

We provide the service "as is"

We work hard to provide reliable service, but we can't guarantee perfection. Enterprise plans include SLA commitments.

We can update these terms

We may update these terms. We'll notify you of material changes, and continued use means acceptance.

Disputes go to arbitration

If we have a dispute, we'll try to resolve it through arbitration rather than court (with some exceptions).

1. Agreement to Terms

By using Secured AI, you agree to these terms. If you're using it for a company, you're agreeing on behalf of that company.

  • By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms
  • If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization

2. Description of Service

Secured AI provides data protection for AI workflows, including detection, masking, and reveal capabilities.

Service Description:

  • Detection of sensitive data (PII, PHI, and custom patterns) in text
  • Masking of detected data with privacy-preserving tokens
  • Reveal capabilities to restore masked data for authorized users
  • Compliance reporting
  • Integrations with third-party AI tools and platforms

3. Account Registration and Security

You need an account to use Secured AI. Keep your credentials secure.

Requirements:

  • Accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • One person or entity per account (no account sharing)

4. Acceptable Use

Use Secured AI responsibly and legally. Don't try to break it or use it to harm others.

Permitted:

  • Processing data you own or have rights to process
  • Integration with AI tools for legitimate business purposes
  • Using the Service in compliance with applicable laws

Prohibited:

  • Processing data you don't have rights to
  • Attempting to circumvent security measures
  • Reverse engineering or decompiling the Service
  • Using the Service for illegal purposes
  • Interfering with service operation or other users
  • Reselling or sublicensing access without authorization
  • Using the Service to develop competing products

5. Data Processing and Ownership

You own your data. We process it to provide the service. We don't use your content to train our models.

Data Ownership:

  • You retain all rights to your content and data
  • You grant us a limited license to process your data to provide the Service
  • We do not claim ownership of your content
  • We do not use your content to train machine learning models
  • Aggregated, anonymized data may be used to improve the Service

6. Payment Terms

Paid plans are billed according to your subscription. We'll notify you before price changes.

Payment Terms:

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance
  • Fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • We may change pricing with advance notice
  • Late payments may result in service suspension
  • You are responsible for all applicable taxes

7. Service Availability and SLA

We aim for high availability. Enterprise plans include specific uptime guarantees.

Availability:

  • We target 99.9% uptime for the Service
  • Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance
  • Enterprise customers: see your Service Level Agreement for specific commitments
  • Service credits available per SLA terms for qualifying downtime

8. Intellectual Property

We own Secured AI. You own your data. Don't copy our stuff without permission.

IP Rights:

  • Secured AI and its technology are owned by Secured AI, Inc.
  • Our trademarks, logos, and branding are protected
  • You may not use our IP without written permission
  • Feedback you provide may be used to improve the Service

9. Third-Party Services and Integrations

Secured AI integrates with other services. Those services have their own terms.

Third-Party Terms:

  • Integrations with third-party services (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) are subject to those services' terms
  • We are not responsible for third-party services
  • Your use of integrated services is at your own risk
  • Third-party service availability may affect Secured AI functionality

10. Confidentiality

We keep your data confidential. You keep our proprietary information confidential.

Confidentiality Obligations:

  • We will maintain the confidentiality of your data
  • You agree to keep Secured AI's proprietary information confidential
  • Confidentiality obligations survive termination

11. Warranties and Disclaimers

We provide the service "as is" with some basic warranties. We make specific commitments in Enterprise agreements.

Warranties:

  • We warrant that the Service will perform materially as described
  • We warrant that we have the right to provide the Service

Disclaimers:

  • THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND
  • WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE
  • Enterprise customers: see your agreement for specific warranty terms

12. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to what you paid us. We're not liable for indirect damages.

Liability Limits:

  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES PAID IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM
  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY
  • Enterprise customers: see your agreement for specific liability terms

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend us against claims arising from your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.

14. Termination

Either party can terminate. You can cancel anytime. We can terminate for cause with notice.

Termination Terms:

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • We may terminate for breach with notice and opportunity to cure
  • We may terminate immediately for material breach
  • Upon termination, you may export your data for a limited period
  • Certain provisions survive termination (confidentiality, liability limits, etc.)

15. Dispute Resolution

We'll try to resolve disputes informally first. If that doesn't work, we use arbitration.

Dispute Process:

  • Binding arbitration under applicable arbitration rules
  • Small claims court exceptions
  • Class action waiver
